Paul the Gog here, Ruskin 1989 - 91. Along with Ian, updating this blog as and when new info comes to hand.
Burford & Levellers' Day: great to see the banners of the broader movement being carried not in a protest or dispute, but in a proud celebration of everything which that movement represents. Colour, music, pride & progressive politics. And, of course, remembering those who went before. What an ideal venue & occasion for a reunion.
When we were at Ruskin, the I.T. facilities consisted of one (paraffin-powered?) computer under the supervision of tutor Andy Burchardt. It used to take about half a term to boot up, as I recall, & few were those who understood its arcane mysteries.
Things have moved on now, of course, and we have the wonders of the worldwide interweb of nets; there's no excuse for not keeping in touch with old comrades, even if you're allergic to picking up a pen (are you listening, Badger McCauley?).
Folks can post contact info on here or, if preferred, how about just getting in touch directly with Ian's address, or mine: bhajibeast@gmail.com ? Let us know whether or not we can share your e-mail address with other Ruskineers. If not, no problem - we'll just use it to keep you updated.
