Tracy Walsh to Chair Levellers 2012

Tracy Walsh, second from right, proud Ruskineer to chair
Levellers Day 2012
Comrades,

It is with great pride that I am able to report that Tracy Walsh, ex-Ruskin student and current co-ordinator of the Ruskin's labour studies BA progamme, will be the Chair of Levellers' Day.

This is a great boost for Ruskin and I know that Tracy is very pleased to be asked.

And, given that Levellers' will be the base for the start of our reunion jollities, what a fantastic way to make the link between Ruskin and the Levellers event.

The announcement has been made on the Ruskin College website and the blurb reads:

Tracy Walsh, Programme Co-ordinator for the BA ILTUS has been invited to chair the 2012 Levellers Day celebrations in Burford on Saturday 19th May from 11am. This is the 38th celebration and the theme is Protesting and Surviving. Guest speakers include Alex Gordon, President of the RMT and the Director of 38 Degrees.

So, it will be an honour to introduce Ruskineers from our year group at Ruskin to the Levellers Day 2012 Chair. We might even bribe Tracy to wish us well from the top table.

In Solidarity

Ian
